The Beginning

After several meetings of concerned laity from various areas of the state, a non-profit organization was formed. The name Methodist Laity of Mississippi was chosen and the following volunteers were elected as officers:

• President - Jack Ramsey, Oak Grove
• Vice President - Jimmy McCay, Hattiesburg
• Secretary - Jeff Hall, Collins
• Treasurer - Mike Herrin, Hattiesburg

We pray that we will be able to organize statewide from the Tennessee line to the Gulf Coast with a coordinator in each district. We also pray that our church will have a renewed spirit and focus on winning souls from Christ.
